TW1 project

TW1 - This project comment the route that starts at Nytorget, Pedersgata ending up at Tou Scene. We hope this focus will question and explore the specific environment and highlight the route as an extraordinary experience/walk in itself. After an open call with 300 applicants 6 artist teams were invited to participate. Then 3 SEEDS projects were invited along.

TW1 artists: Mariela Limerutti (Argentina) / Elaine Kordys (UK) / Simona Ferrari (IT), Trond Mikkelsen and Sigrun Olsen / Christian Gauss (DE) and Maurits Groba (DE) / Annie Sprinle and Beth stephens (USA) SEEDS artists : Helge Olav Øksendal and Vincent Lingouf (F) / Torunn Larsen and Mona Obrestad / Nils Thomas økland and Rune Aase.

Collaborators: residents, citizens, city planners and local business.

1) 25th March - 3rd of April
A 10-day workshop/research
The invited TW artists and SEEDS artists meet and make the work

2) 11th - 15th of June
A 5 days of showing of the work developed presented in Pedersgata and Tou Scene.
Audience and collaborators invited.

Evening program & documentary exhibition at Tou Scene all 3 days.

3) 29th - 30th August
A 2 day seminar, we evaluate the project and invite audience and collaborators to discuss the development and future of the project

Anne-Marte Eidseth Rygh: Performance artist and curator of an annual Performance Day in Stavanger, Norway. Project manager of an artist residence and lecturer of art theory. www.annemarte.wordpress.com

Johanna Tuukkanen: Founder and artistic director of the ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival, Kuopio, Finland. An international festival focusing on site specific work made for public spaces. She is also a practicing artist working in the fields of performance, live art and contemporary dance. www.tuukkanen.net
