Christian Gauss + Moritz Groba

Christian Gauss og Moritz Groba (Tyskland) er to arkitekter som bor og arbeider i Stavanger. Begge flyttet inn i Pedersgata da de kom til byen. I TW1 vil de designe, bygge og utplassere 4 skulpturer ved enden av Pedersgata, mellom broen og siloene. De 4 meter høye, fargesterke, abstrakte men samtidig figurative skulpturene vil peke på bestemte steder og strukturer.

”Akkurat som oss eller andre innflyttere i Stavanger, er skulpturene fremmede for dette stedet. Når du går inn i en Nye Naboer-skulptur vil du kunne se byen fra deres synsvinkel.”

Arkitektene er også fascinert av ”dugnads”-tradisjonen, og ønsker å prøve ut den lokale dugnadsånden ved å invitere beboere til å hjelpe med å bygge og ta imot de Nye Naboene i begynnelsen av juni. Prosjektet har som mål å vekke nysgjerrighet, diskusjon og samhandling.
